An Unown Reunion: Chapter 5

Rhod, slouched over on his hands and knees, coughed repeatedly as Entei stood over him, looming down on both Rhod and the downed Shiny Enblaerao. Rhod opened his eyes slowly, seeing that he was coughing up blood. He slowly stood up, staring at the beast in front of him.

"Ugh... You'e going down, Entei..." He said, staggering from side to side, delirious and dizzy. Entei laughed at the Trainer.

"You can't win. Look at youself, boy. You don't have a chance now." The beast bellowed. Entei turned his attention to Enblaerao, who was slowly standing up as well. The beast was in the same confition as Rhod. Entei laughed again.

"You're wrong... The good guys always win. Right, Enblaerao?" Rhod said, chuckling slightly. Enblaerao growled at Entei. Slowly, it was charging a Fire Blast in its mouth. Entei laughed again.

"Then I guess I have to kill you both off then." Entei said slowly. Before Enblaerao could finish charging, Entei charged and fired another Shadow Fire attack at the two, causing the spike platform to break underneath the two and sending them flying off the side of the tower. Rhod and Enblaerao both screamed out as they fell.

"Vine Whip!" A voice called out. Out of nowhere, a heavy group of vines caught Rhod by the legs and stopped his fall, gently swinging him against part of the tower he fell from. As he stopped swinging, he looked up at the vines and saw the source.

"I like how Jukairao obeys commands, big bro!" Molly shouted from a broken tower window. Rhod smiled, still in pain as he looked over at Entei, who was watching the event. The beast roared, charging another Shadow Fire as Juka hurriedly tried to pull Rhod up to the ledge. Rhod watched Entei in horror, but smiled as he saw a small light in the sky.

"And here comes Flygon!" He shouted. Entei, hearing Rhod's taunt, looked behind himself. And before he could comprehend what happened, a Flygon has slammed right into Entei, knocking it off the broken spike platform. Rhod laughed in happiness as he watched Flygon circle around to him, realizing slowly who it was.

"You got a lot of nerve doing this alone, Rhod." Gem said, keeping herself ballanced on her Flygon, Trapanne. The Ground/Dragon Pokemon growled slightly as it levitated higher as Rhod was pulled up, He slowly reached the ledge Molly was on, climbing onto it quickly. He looked towards where Enblaerao fell, frowing slightly and remaining silent.

"Rhod? Rhod, you okay?" Molly asked. Rhod slowly came back to his senses, smiling at his sister. Gem reached into her pocket and passed him a Poke Ball. He caught it, recognizing the ball and smiling. He turned his attention back to Molly and Jukairao.

"Juka, keep going. You're not far from the exit. Gem and I will take care of this." He said confidently.

"Swampy is downstairs too, so they shouldn't have much trouble." Gem added. Rhod smiled as Juka nodded, quickly putting Molly on his back again and running off. Molly stared at her brother as Jukairao ran off.

Rhod turned back to Gem, throwing the Poke Ball up beside Trapanne and releasing the Pokemon inside, a Salamence named Tatsumarao. Rhod hopped from the ledge onto the Pokemon's back as it growled, staring at the area where Entei fell. Both Dragon Pokemon watched closely.

"You suppose it's dead?" Gem asked. Rhod immediately shook his head.

"That thing won't die from a fall like that. But we have to get going. Entei isn't our real problem. Follow me!" Rhod said, Tatsumarao turning around and flying off. Gem and Trapanne slowly followed.

Jukairao quickly jumped down a set of stairs, running through a long hallway. Molly was clinging to his back. She looked around, sighing slightly.

"Juka, rest for a bit. You're tired." She said. Jukairao, obviously sweating and panting heavily, shook his head and continued running, finding the main stairs of the mansion. Molly sighed again. At the bottom of the stairs, Juka saw a sigh of relief. When he reached the bottom, he stopped and greeted Gem's Swampy, the Shiny Swampert.

"You're Swampy, right? My name is Molly." Molly introduced, smiling and holding a hand out over Juka's shoulder. Swampy smiled politely and shook her hand gently.

Juka gently let Molly off his back as the Grass-Type sat down to rest a bit. Molly walked around the room slowly, examining it. Juka and Swampy watched her closely.

"This is the room where Entei was when he beat the Unown... Then he died." Molly said, looking at the crystalized room. She looked up slowly, looking at the cieling.

"This is also where I was the first time it happened. When I made the Unown appear, I was standing right here." She continued, looking around. A single tear slowly formed in her eye, sliding down her face. She slowly looked down at her feat. Juka and Swampy watched her carefully, making quiet, sad cries.

"I just want this to end...! I don't want this world! I want my own world!" She said, stomping her feat into the crystal floor, causing part of it to crack. Juka stood up straight, looking at her with a concerned face.

"I don't want the Unown here! I want all the Unown to die!" She shouted, clenching her fists. That last outburst is what did it. Juka and Swampy watched in horror as spiked began to break out of the floor in circles, surrounding Molly, She looked around, horrified as Juka and Swampy quickly began to hit the spikes.

Molly began to cry silently, watching the spiked form closer and closer to her. She turned to Juka, who was standing opposite her and peering through the spikes. It was the last thing she saw.

One large spike came up from under Molly, causing her to slowly envelope into the spike as if being frozen in a block of ice. She was completely silent, looking limp inside the lock. Jukairao cried out, smashing his fists into the spikes even more. Swampy did the same.

Swampy looked up at the cieling, a horrified look following his face as well. The Unown were slowly warping in, making their unusual cries as well. Juka looked up at them, gasping. The two Pokemon walked back slowly, watching the army of Unown swarm in. Swampy turned his head to Juka, to which Juka nodded. The two Pokemon stared up at the swarm and cried out.

Their two cries combined together nearly sounded like the moves they were using. Juka dropped to all fours, gripping the ground tightly as gigantic thorned vines broke out through the ground, following patchs up the walls and attacking the Unown at every opening. Swampy dropped to all fours as well, aiming his head at groups of Unown and fired off three swirling jets of high-pressure water simultaneously.

As the two Pokemon fired Frenzy Plant and Hydro Cannon respectively, the remaining Unown slowly grouped together in one large ball-shape. The Unown outside the sphere slowly formed into words.

"WE SHALL NOT FAIL. WE SHALL PROCEED. WE SHALL CRYSTALIZE THE WORLD." They spelled out. The two starters continued their attacks, aiming for the center of the sphere of Unown. The Unown cried out, creating a wave of psychic energy, blasting both Jukairao and Swampy backwards, slamming into the wall behind them. Both cried out in agony, nearly shaking the mansion with their volume.

"Did you hear that?" Rhod asked, flying side by side with Gem through the mansion corridors. Gem nodded.

"It didn't sound good..." Gem said. The Trapanne and Tatsumarao both sped up, quickly flying through the mansion. Both came to a stop at a large door, crystalized shut.

"This leads to the main stairwell. Tatsumarao, Hyper Beam!" Rhod commanded. The Dragon/Flying Pokemon roared, opening its mouth and firing a beam of complete energy at the door, smashing it open and blowing a hole through it. Rhod and Gem peered inside, seeing their worst nightmare.

The sphere of Unown was growing larger, and unconcious Jukairao and Swampy sat against the walls on opposite sides of the door. Rhod and Gem's jaws dropped upon seeing their enemies.

Rhod noticed an odd spike underneath the Unown. He peered closer at it, seeing someone was inside. He looked at Juka and then back to the spike, growling like a wild animal. Gem looked at Rhod carefully.

"Rhod, are you okay...?" She asked, looking almost scared of Rhod.

"I'm going to kill them all." He answered quietly.
